Why a Blogger Mission Trip?
So many of us want to meet our new friends from all over the world and at the same time do something eternally significant. So why not combine those two by teaming up, traveling to Africa, and sharing the love of Christ together? I can think of no better way I’d want to experience doing life together with any of you.
My husband and I pioneered Thrive Africa ten years ago, and we’ve hosted mission teams every year since we started. We’ll take good care of you, we promise!
What to Expect
- Spend time getting to know your friends from the blogosphere in a whole new way
- Minister in rural villages through relationship evangelism
- Love on the children at Hope House orphanage
- Experience firsthand Thrive Africa’s discipleship and AIDS prevention programs
- Go an overnight safari trip to see animals like elephants, giraffes, and zebra
You Won’t Sleep in a Hut!
You’ll stay in cabins on our 2,500-acre base. Each cabin has its own bathroom—complete with running (hot!) water and electricity. (Click on the picture of the cabin to see more photos of our mission base.)

The Next Step
If you’re interested in joining the Blogger Mission Trip, the next step is to complete an application form. The process includes sending in an application fee, a completed form, and a picture of yourself. A member of the pastoral staff at your church will need to complete a reference form. Get the forms and info here.
Can’t Go? Send!
If you can’t come maybe you’d like to help send a blogger to Africa?
