right…south africa IS a county, africa is NOT.
africa
My husband and I pioneered a ministry called Thrive Africa. We’re based in South Africa, which leads a lot of people to ask, “Oh… Which country?” So let’s get this out of the way right now. South Africa is a country. We’re at the bottom of the continent. Now that that’s out of the way…
Africa is nothing like you imagine and everything you hope for. It’s not all as it’s depicted on National Geographic, but the continent’s raw, authentic beauty is no less gripping and life-changing. Her soil is fertile with hope; her people warm, friendly, and genuinely happy. Her sons’ and daughters’ eyes tell entire life stories with a single glance, and her wildlife speaks of a loving Creator with an incredible sense of humor.
Africa steals the hearts of anyone who comes here. I know. It happened to me.
(Our ministry website has tons of information about South Africa, in case you’re interested in reading more about this beautiful land. You can learn about apartheid, South African culture, the Basotho people (the tribe we work with), and the AIDS pandemic.)
