i just heard from alece - they are enroute back to Ohio. they’ve got a LOOOOONG day of driving ahead of them. the house is fine, just the basement has flooded.

My dear cousin Mandy, don’t you mean Iowa? Unless the flooding drifted their house three states away… but it is still “fine”. :-)

really, it wouldn’t surprise me that she doesn’t even know where she is/going. she’s been in SO many places lately… maybe she’s the crazy one.

Mandy- No matter what state she is headed to…Iowa, Ohio or a state of confusion…we appreciate the update! It is great to know the house is okay.

BTW- this was sweet. I would say he misses you too…and to be honest…he isn’t the only one.

Mandy - Ah. Well, ok, my pistol is holstered. :-) Ohio is a very long drive from Missouri, especially with two little ones. My oh my. And kitty-mama recovering from a C-section. I am sure our dear little chronicler, Alece, will fill us all in when she is at a place that she can.

Yes, four minutes of typing on any given topic from ostriches outside the office window to the wonders of cereal. The four minutes do not include uploading photos or creating links.

OH…I’m praying for kitty-mama…I feel for her. How has she even had a chance to recover?

so I don’t usually ask such a personal question because Tim and I were asked a lot and we were experiencing infertility issues…but are you and neil planning on any bambinos of your own?

total and andrew — the gang explained it pretty well. i type “go”, hit the timer (figuratively), and type for 4 minutes. i usually have the topic already chosen (but not always), and the insertion of links/photos doesn’t count in the time limit. the past 2 weeks and the next several are dedicated to my hubs across the sea…

michelle — amy (mama kitty) is recovering well. she is such a strong woman, and has been taking things as slowly as she can in the midst of all that’s been going on. i’m so glad i am able to be here to help her as much as i have.

jamie — well allllllriiiiight! :-) yes, there will be little niels and aleces running around someday. some.day.

everybody and anybody — yes, i’m in ohio with amy and kiddos at amy’s parents’ house. dave is wrapping things up in iowa and hopes to join us by this weekend. their house was fine; the basement flooded a bit (very minimally), but really they were protected from the mass damage that so much of the city endured. (thank you for all your prayers to that effect!)

my slice came home on Saturday!!!! I held him captive until he let me go to work tonight ;)

i’m sure he didn’t at all mind that captivity. i’m sure you both had loads of fun! ::wink::
