sissy

[SCENE: Niel and I sit across from each other in a booth, sharing some very-messy buffalo wings. Our fingers and faces are covered in the spicy saucy mess. Niel dunks his wangs---yes, I just said wangs---in blue-cheese sauce.]

Me: So… what’s the deal with the blue-cheese dip?

Niel: {Incoherent mouth-full mumbling, hinting of “What do you mean?”}

Me: Is it to tame down the spiciness for sissies?

Niel: No! It’s for the flavor.

Me: That’s just the excuse sissies use, isn’t it?

HA! niel and blue cheese… moooooold. didn’t he call reebs the cheese monger for a while last year because she teased him about the mold? ;)

and it’s totally just the excuse sissies use.

We watched The Amazing Race this weekend, and Char and I have decided that you and Niel would be hilarious on that show…. the conversation above only confirms our suspicions. The South African/New Yorker duo would make for good TV….and good fun as well :) Love ya!

HA! I agree with Mo…but I have to say that I REALLY enjoy blue cheese and it is REALLY good with wings.

Now…I am a little bit of a spice sissy….so…maybe that is an excuse, but it sure is good!

LOL! Niel’s a wing sissy! Not to mention that blue cheese is nasty! Who wants to eat rotting cheese? Flavor my butt! SISSY!!!!!

Ha!

Mmmmmm - spicy saucy buffalo wings
Mmmmmm - blue cheese
Mmmmmm - all mixed together

Ha ha! Great stuff. I could see it both for the flavor and for the sissiness. Although I don’t like the stuff. Give me my wangs just the way they are. :)

mmmmmm…. makes me hungry for some 1/2 price appetizers at Applebee’s (which I see in our future, by the way ;)…

I have to agree that the dip is all about the flavor combination…. and then munching on a piece of celery is for the sissies… if need be!

Go ahead Niel dip it.
Make sure you get chunks of bleu on that wang.

YUMMO>…. I love spice foods. Hey I am married to a mexican.
I love it all!!! and bring it on.

(invitation is here.. 8 minutes to the border her. Tacos are in our future Alece)

But chicken wings are gross without the BLEU!!!

I’ll stop myself from chanting “Niel’s a sissy. Niel’s a sissy.”

And for the record…you’re adoreable.

some like it hot…some like it not so hot w/ blue cheese.

I like hot fudge on my ice cream. does that make me an ice cream sissy?

No blue cheese for papa - bring the spice on! Ask mama!!

Anyone who use a “dipping” sauce with wings is a wuss. If the wings don’t bring tears to your eyes they are not hot enough. :)

I think this guy Niel needs a real dog to “man him up”. :)

it’s for flavor and taming the burn!!

LOL I admit I am a sissy when it comes to spicy wings. I cannot handle it. I need some ranch or blue cheese or something and I eat up every single celery strand in the basket too *head hanging down in shame*

So what’s the deal with picking on someone’s infirmity?

1000 comments gone to your head Young Lady?

Let’s all lift one another - not pull down.

<B

roo — yes, back in the day there was a “war” about the moldiness of blue cheese. i think the stuff is wretched.

mo/char — amazing race?? you kidding me? that would be the demise of our marriage! ha ha!

maymers — mmm… half-prize appetizers in our future? sounds divine.

heidi — let’s do it! sounds like the magic 8 ball agrees. suh-weet!

cathi — ice cream sissy?! ha ha! i honestly hate hot fudge (not a chocolate lover… not even a chocolate liker, really), but i won’t call you an ice cream sissy. i promise.

ed — my man’s as manly as they come. even though he dips his wings in blue cheese!

love — ouch, ouch, ouch.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Are you kidding that you don’t love chocolate? Please tell me you are kidding! DaRonn, also, does not like chocolate! The only chocolate he eats is a Snicker bar.

This is getting freaky - like twilight-zone or something!

(Oh - and DaRonn is also anti-sauce on pretty much every front. He can’t watch me eat sometimes because I gots ta have me some sauce.)

:-)

Hey Alece! :) Been seeing you around blogville so I thought I ‘d check you out! You are definately my kind of girl!!! I’m with ya, no blue cheese, I mean, what’s the point??? Burn or bust! :) Good to meet you! Have blessed day! Debs

I think this blog altogether is great.

This post is so funny…

I admit I am one of those sissies who likes to drown my “wangs” in blue cheese or ranch… and honey mustard tastes pretty good with it also…. YUMMO!

@ngie — craziness, eh?? i do like some sauces. i’m a dipper by nature. just not blue cheese or chocolate! :-)

debs — thanks for joining the g&g family! “burn or bust” - ha ha ha!

anna — thanks for the encouraging words… and i’ll have to pass along your suggestion of honey mustard to my husband. he LOVES honey mustard… hmmmm… sounds like a bizzare combo to me. i’ll take your word on it! :-)

Totally my thoughts exactly. In fact, Jake and I have had a similar conversation….as he also loves SPICY wings with a nice blue cheese to cool it down. HAHA!!

SISSIES for sure! ;-)

brandy — i’m glad you agree! :-)

I actually like the blue cheese for flavor. But I always order and extra side of the wing sauce to kick it back up.

wow. Niel should be able to handle the hot stuff. anything to dip in if its not hotter than whatcha got in the first place, is sissyness.

NJ — oooh. that sounds good. an extra side of the wing sauce. THAT i’d like.

hannah — i know, i know. tsk, tsk, right??

i don’ need no stankin’ blue cheese fo’ ma wangs!!!
i ain’ no sisseh!

ha ha ha ha!

Alece is there anyway we could meet up for nandos sometime this week? cuz i could so go for an extra hot chicken pita. mhmmm you know what im sayin? dang and man i wish i could see you for real.

how ’bout thursday during town time?? awww… wouldn’t that be awesome?!

Tear.

i know… me, too.

i don’t kiss drew when he eats blue cheese salads.
he doesn’t eat them as much as before.
:)
