Go.
I really enjoy a good bowl of cereal. And I eat a lot of it, but usually not for breakfast. It’s my favorite after-dinner, late-night snack. If I’m still up at 2 AM, cereal’s what I’m heading to the kitchen for.
Sometimes it seems like the perfect comfort food. Some people go for ice cream or chocolate, or even mac-n-cheese. Cereal does the trick for me. Don’t underestimate the healing, soothing power of All Bran Honey Nut Crunch.
The only downside of my cereal-eatage is that I devour it ridiculously fast. In general, I’m a way-too-fast eater as it is. But I have an overwhelming need to eat cereal at an ungodly fast pace. I cannot stand when it gets soggy, so I tend to eat it as fast as I possibly can.
I just had a bowl of cereal-yumminess for lunch. And as I sat here trying to think of what to four-minute-friday about, I figured it was as good a time as ever to come out of the closet about my fast-paced love for eating cereal.
Done.

This made me smile… but I have to confess that your flavor of choice sounds a little bland… and if that’s comfort food… you’re doing your body so good :)
I go for honey nut cheerios, golden grahams, or cinnamon toast crunch as my cereal yumminess (for non-breakfast times)!

Oh my goodness!!! Amy just listed off my top three list of favorite cereals! (None of which are sold down here by the way.)
I too am a cereal junkie. I literally feel incomplete if I don’t eat at least one bowl a day. It’s like that aweful feeling that you have forgotten something extremely important.
Now my mouth is watering… :o)
Great post!

mandy: cereal and ice cream?! wow.
yeller: it seems like we often talk about cereal when we chat (cause you ask something along the lines of “what are you cooking for dinner?” ha!!!) i’m glad we’ve moved that dialogue here, too!
amy and angie: the bran/honey one i named is my favorite cereal here; my favs from home are cheerios (the plain, boring kind…but with fresh banana slices. mmmm…), kix, and special k with berries. niel loves cinnamon toast crunch, so occasionally i’ll satisfy my sweet tooth cravings with a bowl of that. we’ve still got a few boxes of that and cheerios left in our kitchen cupboard (here).

You’re making me hungry.
Yeah, I grew up on cereal. Sometimes it just hits the spot. I have to say, my favorite is probably … honey nut crunch. Although Wheaties hits the spot sometimes (a little nostalgia there - grew up on it). Shredded wheat. Cheerios. We weren’t ever allowed to have any of the sugary cereals as kids. Boy am I glad! Healthy hits the spot.

dang. I haven’t had kix since foreva. I like good old capt. crunch. I got in trouble once when I was a kid for eating 3 bowls at one sitting. And that was when cereal was still under 4 dollars a box. Seriously. So what is the deal with your hair? I have been fretting all week. Okay…not really.

I like to let my cereal sit a little to get soggy. Preferred cereal - Bran flakes/ Grape nuts/ Honey bunches of oats.

annie - we also weren’t allowed to have sugary cereals. my mom thought kix were possibly too sweet, but allowed us to get those as a treat. ha!
kristi - i’ve never even tasted capt. crunch. yikes!
bn (dereck??) - soggy?! GASP!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner of Champions! : )
All cereals, lots of milk, enjoying every saturated morsel of it’s grainy, branny, fibery, nutty, cinnamony, sugary goodness, or at least fun(ness)! OK, the cereal is better than my made up grammar, but you get the idea!
ENJOY!!!!!!
