tonight’s the night

This was a hard year. One I’m glad is over. There is hope, promise, in throwing out the calendar and starting afresh. In writing a new year when I scribble the date. In the thought of 1/1/08.

I don’t get to see the ball drop, but I’ll be dropping some weights and leaving them behind at 11:59. Hope is what I’ll be holding onto, like a sparkler, at midnight.

Tomorrow is a new day. And I’m breathing in deep. “Cause tonight’s the night the world begins again.

This year has marked a lot of growth for me in a lot of areas. Until you mentioned it, I didn’t realize how excited I’ll be also at jotting down that wonderful date.

I am hearing that from lots of different people – that 2007 was hard. I can’t say that it was easy for me either. We had to push through some stuff and then just be patient in others. I share your hope for this new year. So, while I do wish you a Happy New Year I also wish you a Hopeful New Year as well.

    Love you Alece!
